Our events and meet ups run all round the country throughout the year. They take the form of informal seminars, where we have established female entrepreneurs sharing their stores and secrets, and social get togethers, which are about meeting other entrepreneurial women for a bit of a drink and a chat. You are welcome to attend both, just register as a member of Make It Your Business. Membership is free.
Make It Your Business Oundle
March 26 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Do you dream of starting your own business but need a helping hand, perhaps you already have a business but feel stuck and not sure how to move forward, or maybe you are a successful entrepreneur willing to help other women achieve their goal.
Whatever end of the business spectrum you’re at Make It Your Business is for you!
This event is a great opportunity to hear about the real experiences of being an entrepreneur from women who have currently run a business, and ask any questions you have.
Join other like minded women who understand how important it is to feel supported at this Make It Your Business networking event in Oundle on Thursday 26th March 2020. We have three excellent panellists joining us:
Louise Goss is the founder and editor of The Homeworker, the magazine for a healthy mind, body and business for everyone who works from home. As a journalist, Louise has worked in TV, radio, print and digital media at regional, national and international level. She has worked from home for several years, particularly since becoming a mum, and created the magazine to support the homeworking lifestyle and takes a holistic view, looking at productivity, mindset, wellbeing, mental health and the home work environment.
Christine Emmett has more than 30 years experience in management consultancy and a particular enthusiasm for encouraging women in business. She has been both an executive and non-executive director on large-scale transportation, healthcare and political projects with multimillion pound budgets. She has worked with MEPs, MPs and business people in developing their presentation skills. Her own management career started as a buyer for Marks and Spencer.
Jackie Wurr is also an established female entrepreneur who has run her own PR & Marketing business since leaving the so-called ‘safety’ of a staff role at publishers EMAP. She has worked all over Europe, applying her skill-set to a variety of different sectors, adopting a can-do attitude and personable approach.
